1. SANTA COMES TO TOWN!
Watch for Santa's arrival to the Village of Orland Hills by Helicopter! After Santa arrives, he'll greet Residents while riding through the Village in a holiday carriage.  Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00 am. Kelly Park, 16675 S. Haven Avenue.

2. CHRISTMAS CANDY COUNT
'Tis the season for lots of fun and excitement!  We'll add to that fun with our favorite game, "Count the Candy in the Jar." All our Resident elves and elvettes should ski on over to the Community Center to count the Christmas candy in our candy jar.  The Resident who guesses the correct amount will win the jar of candy! Only one guess per person, contest is only open to children 12 and under.  A drawing will decide the winner in case of a tie.  Guesses over the actual candy amount do not qualify.  Contest begins November 28th and ends on December 12th.

3. SANTA COLORING CONTEST
Color the Santa and win a holiday surprise. Starting November 28th, Resident entries will be made available at the Community Center,16553 S. Haven Ave. Boys and girls ranging from 4 thru 12 years will be eligible to participate. Entry deadline is December 10th. Winners will be announced December 12th.

4. SANTA’S CALLING
For all Resident children 6 yrs. and under whose parents completed the “Santa's Fact Calling Sheet.” Starting November 28th forms will be available at the Community Center until December 5th.  Santa’s calls will be on Wednesday, December 7th from 5 to 8 pm.  A Santa Fact Sheet is available at the Recreation Center.  This event is for Orland Hills Residents only.

5. LETTERS TO SANTA
Beginning November 21st thru December 3rd Residents between the ages of 2 thru 8 yrs. may drop off a letter for Santa at the Community Center or Village Hall. Please include your name and address, so Santa can write back. This activity is for Orland Hills Residents only.

6. HOLIDAY CARRIAGE RIDES
Start off the Holiday Season by taking a ride in a horse drawn carriage at Kelly Park, 16633 S. Haven Avenue. This activity is a free event to all Residents, Saturday, December 10th from 11:00 am-2:00pm.

7. HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST
Open to all residents in the Village of Orland Hills. Judging will be on Tuesday, December 13th between the hours of 7 to 9 pm. Please register your house at the Community Center or call the Recreation Hot-line at 708-349-7211. Prizes will be awarded to the three best decorated homes.

8. BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Georgios Banquets
Join us for a special breakfast with Santa Claus at Georgios Banquet Hall, 8800 W. 159th Street, on Saturday , December 17th. Enjoy a hot breakfast buffet and a surprise treat from Santa. Bring your camera and take a photo with Santa. A morning that is sure to delight parents and children alike! Advance Ticket Sales Only, 11/28 thru 12/14 at the Community Center. 9.  19th ANNUAL HOLIDAY ICE SKATING PARTY
All Village Residents are invited to the 19th Annual Skating Party at the Arctic Ice Arena.  Pre-registration is required by stopping by the Community Center or call the Recreation Department Hotline at 708-349-7211.  Admission is FREE, skate rental is $1.00.  Orland Hills Residents ONLY.  December 27th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Arctic Ice Arena, 10700 W. 160th Street, Orland Park.
