Adult Fall Programs

A 16” Co-Ed softball eight week league with playoffs. Cash awards for first and second overall league standings and for playoffs. Fielding gloves are optional for women. Field lighting, umpires and softballs are included.

Come join us and learn First Aid, CPR and how to properly use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). You will be taught the proper techniques of breathing, compressions, along with cardiac emergency situations. The class will be instructed by the Orland Fire Protection District. Candidates will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Mr. Frank Sanchez will be providing students with exceptional knowledge and expertise in drawing and oil painting. Classes are continuous and will consist of four–one hour sessions. Students will learn various styles of drawing and oil painting. Basic mixing, technique, brush handling, brush up and patterning is also included.

Paint a seasonal picture! You’ll learn to draw accurately before you begin your step-by-step paintings. Projects include a 16x20 oil painting picture of your choice. Each session features a different picture.

This recreational “B” Division is for teams that understand volleyball rules and want to have fun. Organized and experienced teams welcome. Cash awards presented to first two places in each division. Referees are provided.

Pickleball activities will be directed by South Suburban Tennis and Pickleball Academy certified pickleball professional, Andy Ventress and staff. Loaner paddles will be available.

Beginners

Students will learn all that is needed to begin playing games and have FUN with the greatest growing sport. Fee includes a t-shirt and two pickleballs

Advanced

Prerequisites for the class are an understanding of the basic rules and scoring for game play along with the ability to serve successfully. Advanced shots and techniques such as 3rd shot drops, poaches, stacking and many other strategies and tactics will be introduced.

Come experience the greatest growing sport! Pickleball is a game similar to racquetball, pingpong, badminton, and tennis played on a court a third the size of a tennis court using paddles and whiffle type balls. Anyone can step out onto the pickleball court for the first time and have fun. In these beginner classes, students will learn the rules of the game, scoring and play format along with the basic forehand, backhand, volley, serve and strategies of the game.

Lessons will be directed by South Suburban Tennis/Pickleball Academy, certified professional, Andy Ventress and staff. Each lesson will include instruction, drill and play. Loaner paddles and balls will be available for class use.

Bingo is held every Monday. Come join the fun with our lively group of Active Adults. This popular social opportunity offers seniors a place to gather and make new friends. This program focuses on not only bingo, but important informational topics, fitness, and special events. Stop by any Monday and enjoy some bingo with, us for your complimentary coffee and tea. You could be the winner of a possible cash prize!

Soothe your nervous system in this nourishing, energy balancing yoga class. Gentle flowing movements are linked to breath allowing the release of excess energy and a heightened state of rest and relaxation.
