The Orland Hills Recreation Department, in conjunction with Forest View Farms, is offering a package of five (5) pony riding lessons. The classes are small with fun instructors and a heated indoor arena for year round riding. Call the stable to arrange class and bring your receipt to the first lesson.

Learn the art of English or Western horsemanship and ride, groom, saddle and control your horse at a walk, trot and canter. Beginners through Advanced are welcome. Register at the Community Center, call the stable to arrange classes and bring your receipt to the first lesson. Helmet rental $1 per class.

Soccer Shots is an engaging eight week children’s soccer program for children 2 to 8 years of age. The program has a focus on character development. All participants will receive a uniform which consists of a jersey and shorts. Practices and games are included in the fee.

Mr. Frank Sanchez will be providing students with exceptional knowledge and expertise in drawing and oil painting. Classes are continuous and will consist of four–one hour sessions. Students will learn various styles of drawing and oil painting. Basic mixing, technique, brush handling, brush up and patterning is also included.

Paint a seasonal picture! You’ll learn to draw accurately before you begin your step-by-step paintings. Projects include a 16x20 oil painting picture of your choice. Each session features a different picture.

Critter class is an introduction to some of the world’s most misunderstood creatures. Reptiles, Amphibians and Bugs. We will teach the importance of these creatures to the environment as well as their natural history and how to take care of them as pets. Each Class will feature live animals. Classes are taught by the experts from Crosstown Exotics. Some classes may take place outdoors, so dress accordingly. No open toed shoes, please. Parents are welcome to stay
